Valorie Everton, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and one of the business owners. I bring over 25 years experience in private therapy practice, community behavioral health program development and management. I offer client centered counseling / psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement De-sensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, and emotionally focused therapy for couples. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and offer Consultant services for those seeking their certification in EMDR, or needing hours to complete the Basic Training.

My goal is to meet people where they are, help them to identify their goals and strengths and teach new personal and relationship skills that will support their change and growth. I want clients to be able to let go of any shame, embarrassment or worry about being judged that controls or limits them in their lives.

One of my specialties is about helping couples heal and re-connect in areas where their connection, intimacy and partnership have been fractured. I teach couples new communication skills and how to hear and listen effectively using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy techniques.

Another passion, is helping people with trauma or attachment problems, especially utilizing EMDR. By processing old traumatic memories people can often quickly change their own self-defeating behaviors and add new techniques leading to balance, achievement and happiness.

Using EMDR for Performance Enhancement can also provide the next step for business and professional men and women who are looking for ways to reach their dreams or overcome the business and economic challenges of today
